MAGICAL ADCH-BRONZE Magical "Merlin" snagged that last Pairs Q needed to earn his ADCH-Bronze title!!! Merlin's agility partner Marti Wiseman was so thrilled because Merlin had been laid up with a broken toe for months and she had worried he would not be able to compete at the same level of athletic ability as he had before. No worries, there, as Merlin sailed over the 26" jumps in fine, fluid style, with nary of trace of any injury to be seen. He is now officially known as MACH7, ADCH-Bronze BasqueLaine-Montage Secret Passage TQX, MXF, EAC, EJC, EGC, TN-O, TG-O, WV-O, CL3, RN, CGC. &nsbp; Last year, Merlin became the 2nd Tervuren in history to complete a MACH7. This year, at age 10, he became the the 6th Tervuren to earn the ADCH-Bronze, right after Rhian! (see below) and also following his litterbrother Maxwell who was the 3rd. Merlin has had an almost 100% Q rate in AKC, quite a feat at this level of competition. He is from the Spies and Heroes litter bred by Kelley Hoffman and co-bred by Montage, sired by my foundation stud dog George out of Kelley's foundation brood bitch Marissa. Huge congratulations, with wild yips and howls of delight, to Marti and Ray on Merlin's awesome accomplishments from all your fur family at Montage!!!! |

DOUBLE THE BRONZE FOR THE PIRATE MAMA Presenting... MACH2, ADCH-BRONZE Montage Works Like A Charm MXF, LAA-Bronze,TM-Gold JCH-Gold,
SCH-Bronze, RCH-Bronze, SACH-Bronze, RS-E, JS-E, GS-O, HIC. "Rhian" has returned with Rusty Pearson to the agility ring in Colorado, after a break for motherhood.
Her first weekend was a warm-up in preferred novice since she still has "undercarriage" to deal with, and she earned 6 Qs and 6 blues. Now back in 24" Exc, she has earned 2 more QQ's toward her MACH3, bringing her up to only 3 to go!
In USDAA , in her first run of the weekend, and jumping at 26," she earned her Lifetime Achievement Award (LAA) Bronze and her ADCH-Bronze!!! Rhian is the 5th Tervuren ever to have earned these titles,
following in the pawprints of Rusty's beloved "Maxwell" who was the 3rd. This is a huge achievement! The ADCH-Bronze title is for 15 Qs in each Masters level titling class
(Standard, Jumpers, Gamblers, Snooker and Relay), plus at least 3 Qs in each Tournament class (Grand Prix, Team and Steeplechase). Lifetime Achievement Awards are based on the number of qualifying scores earned in Masters ltitling
classes, as well as Tournament qualifiers and Performance Program Level 3 titling classes. The LAA-Bronze requires 150 qualifying scores overall and 15 qualifying scores in each of the Masters titling classes. Rhian is
proudly co-owned by Montage. She is from the Montage Charmers Litter sired by CH Montage Beach Talisman MX, MXJ, PD1, PT, CGC, TDI

SPEEDY MACH COUNTDOWN Also in Colorado, Rhian's daughter Montage Speed Skater MX, MXJ, NF, J-SN "Blade" is on the home stretch for her AKC Agility Championship! At the big Denver Trial she earned QQs #20 & 21 and now just needs 15 speed points! Next AKC event is in March. Blade is from the Montage Speed Litter, sired by Rusty's famous agility dog MACH3, ADCH-Silver, NATCH, ATCH, U-AGII BasqueLaine-Montage Secret Agent LAA-Silver, TM-Platinum, JCH-Gold, SCH-Gold, GCH-Silver, MXF, O-TN-E, WV-E, TG-E, SJ, RN, SS, WETT, HIC, CGC, TDI "Maxwell". I'll bet Maxwell has a great big Terv grin on his face now, proudly watching his wonderful daughter as she closes in on her MACH. |
| OBEDIENCE HIGH IN TRIAL & CD CH LandmarkMontage Puppeteer Henson sends whoops and howls of congratulations to his daughter MACH Landmark New York Correspondent "Dream" who added a CD to her name. Dream and owner Cathy Parisi debuted in Novice B Obedience at the Berkshire Belgian Tervuren Club Regional Specialty in October, coming away with a score of 197 for 1st place and High in Trial. Dream completed her Novice title in Syracuse with two more 1st place Q's in a row and scores of 198.5 and 198! Dream was bred by Darlene Hernandez, out of Swedish import Abrah Van de Hoge Laer. Way to go Team Dream! |

NEW CH & NEW C-BAR I am so happy to announce that LandmarkMontage Marionette "Judy" is now an AKC Champion. This also means that her papa George, who was my foundation stud dog, gets to add a C-BAR to his P-BAR!!! Breeder's Achievement Rewards (BARs) are awards given by the American Belgian Tervuren Club in recognition of significant contributions from a stud dog or brood bitch to the Belgian Tervuren breed as a whole. These awards are earned through points from the AKC titles of offspring and grandoffspring. There are three types of BARs - Performance (P-BAR), Conformation (C-BAR) and Obedience (O-BAR). To earn a C-BAR, it takes 100 points for a stud dog and 50 points for a brood bitch. Each offspring's championship counts as 5 points and each grandoffspring's championship as 2 points. |
